Step 1
Complete the Application form and attach:
• your most recent official academic transcripts (original or certified true copies) of your university studies. Include an English translation if necessary.
• proof of English language proficiency (if English is not your first language).
Students who do not meet English language entry requirement can undertake English Language Programs at the QUT International College to gain the required proficiency
• outlines of subjects you are currently studying, particularly as support for prerequisite subject criteria.
Step 2
Select subjects
Select your subject preferences. Refer to the list of pre-approved subjects. Further information on subjects that have prerequisite requirements is also available on the QUT courses website . Ensure that your academic adviser at your home institution approves your proposed Study Abroad Program for smooth credit transfer.
To ensure that you meet immigration regulations for international student enrolment and workload (minimum 36 credit points) we strongly recommend that you nominate at least eight subjects in case some of these are not approved for study. You can change subjects up until the second week of the semester.
Step 3
Check prerequisites
If you have chosen subjects not on the pre-approved subject list then make sure you meet the relevant prerequisites feel confident that you will be able to successfully complete your chosen subjects.

Attach the following documents t o your application form.:
- Home University Academic Record (grades), in English;
- Copy of your undergraduate degree (for postgraduate applications); and
- Evidence of English language proficiency if required.
Inbound exchange students will also need to attach a covering letter or email from your home institution indicating that you have been nominated for the exchange program to QUT.

Step 6
Receive an offer from QUT
Successful applicants will receive an Offer Letter, an Acceptance of Offer form and booklet Your Next Step, which will explain in detail what you should do after receiving your offer. Admissions will provide feedback via email on subject availability.
Step 7
Accept offer from QUT
To accept an offer, students must complete and send back the Acceptance of Offer form and a completed Method of Payment form (available in Your Next Step).
Step 8
Receive an acceptance from QUT including the Confirmation of Enrolment (COE)
Step 9
Apply for student visa
Your Next Step has information about applying for a student visa. You must have a valid passport and Overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of your stay in Australia. Visit www.immi.gov.au for further visa information.
Step 10
Prepare for departure
Arrange your flight/s – we recommend arriving in Brisbane at least one week prior to the commencement of the Orientation Program. Return Airport Reception and Temporary Accommodation Request form.
